Aspen
Located in a valley on the banks of the Roaring Fork River, Aspen is about 100 miles southwest of Denver. With Red Mountain to the north, Smuggler Mountain to the east, and Aspen Mountain to the south, Aspen has four world renown ski resorts within 12 miles, and has consistently excellent snow quality. Aspen is also becoming a summer and fall vacation destination as well, with its scenic beauty, nature hiking and bicycling drawing off season visitors to the many vacation rental homes, resorts, and cabins in the area.

Vail
Surrounded by the 350,000 acres of the White River National Forest and located less than 100 miles west of Denver, Vail, Colorado was ranked the number one ski destination by Ski magazine for the 2006-2007 season. With 5289 skiable acres, 33 lifts, and 193 marked trails at the 8,120 ft base of the Vail Mountain, which peaks at 11,570 ft, Vail is the largest ski resort area in the U.S. and has become a year round vacation destination, offering a wide selection of vacation home rentals, cabins and resorts. Vail is served by Eagle County Airport, which is near Gypsum. Native Americans used to call the area near this airport the "hole in the sky" because storms seemed to avoid it.

Steamboat Springs
In addition to the ski resorts in the area, the hot springs and the natural beauty of Steamboat Springs make this area a year round vacation destination. The Yampa river has a four mile grade 2 - 3 whitewater run through the hotels and rental condos in Steamboat Springs.

Telluride
Located in Southwest Colorado, the 1.8 million acre San Juan NF is contains large areas of alpine wilderness and the Telluride Ski area. Telluride also plays host to many festivals during the non-ski seasons, which help to explain the large number of vacation rentals and hotels in a small town. Part of the "Million Dollar Highway" forms the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway.

Denver
Founded in 1858 as a gold mining camp, Denver is now the capital and largest city in Colorado, which of course means that it has a large selection of hotels and resorts. There are over 200 parks in Denver, including Red Rocks Park, home of the unique Red Rocks Amphiteatre. Other popular attractions include the Denver Art Museum, the Coors Brewery tours, and the Denver Mint. Denver is also well known as a place for hiking and biking with over 850 miles of trails available near its many vacation homes, condos and rentals.
